Q. How did you first get into wedding blogging?

A. I started my blog to share wedding inspiration and styling ideas after working as a wedding coordinator for several years! I loved working with my couples on the design for their wedding and creating a blog allowed me to share inspiration with other couples as well. It has allowed me to interact with so many amazing wedding professionals and focus on the aspect of weddings that I love the most - the design!

Q. How would you describe your blogging style?

A. My blog is all about wedding design that tells a story - I start with the big picture and then zoom in on all the little design choices that carry the feel of the wedding that the couple are trying to capture. I want all of my features to give the feel of the wedding day as a whole, from the smallest details to the sweetest portraits.

Q. What's your favorite thing about blogging?

A. I love getting to see and share so many gorgeous design ideas! I am constantly coming across design inspiration in every aspect of my life - shop interiors, runway shows, book jackets - and finding a way to spin them into inspiration boards or design concepts. It has given me a completely new perspective on all of the sources of inspiration I come across daily. I also love being able to connect with creative professionals across the world, through social media and features on my blog!

Q. How do you balance blogging with the rest of your life?

A. This is absolutely the hardest question to answer - it's a constant struggle! I work full time as a marketing manager for wedding professionals, and then come home to my blog. I utilize a lot of scheduling tools to be able to try and my posts consistent and fresh while still working full time and having a bit of a social life. I usually write my blog posts late at night, with my latest TV obsession in the background and my cat trying to sprawl across my keyboard!

Q. What are your main goals this year?

A. I would like to launch some new features that focus on event stylists as well as introduce some posts that help couples planning their wedding source the decor that can help them bring the inspiration on my blog to life!

Q. What inspires you?

A. Everything! One of the best pieces of advice I received from an event designer was to look outside of weddings for inspiration. It helps my blog feel too bogged down in trends or traditional wedding styling and gives me a fresh perspective. I have been inspired by movies, shows, color combinations, jewelry, you name it!

Q. What has been your best advertising strategy?

A. Yikes, another hard one! This has largely been a labor of love and I would love to say it has been a lucrative one as well. I try to only featured sponsored or affiliate content that I would actually purchase myself and can personally endorse - it feels more authentic and in line with my blog as a brand.

Q. If you could give one piece of advice to a bride-to-be, what would it be?

A. Make choices for your wedding that are personal, and non just 'on-trend'. I see this with a lot of brides picking their wedding dress especially - your wedding photos are something you have to cherish for the rest of your life, so focus more on what appeals to you and your style to ensure that you love your wedding day style!

Q. What has been your biggest achievement so far?

A. Launching a blog that landed on the Top 100 Wedding Blogs within a year, and being a part of the launch of Aisle Society, a collective of bloggers aimed at creating a direct connection between our readers and the professionals that support us (I guess that's two)!

Thanks for reading! Let me know what some of your favorite wedding blogs are in the comments!
